Clickbait is a short film created for the 48 Hour Film Project Toronto, a competition where teams must write, shoot, and edit a complete 7-minute film in just one weekend. Within the team, I took on a key role combining video editing, motion design, graphic design, and full post-production.

Once we received the contest requirements (assigned genre, character, line of dialogue, and prop), the team jumped into a fast-paced creative sprint.
While the script was being written and production was underway, I began preparing the editing structure and designing visual elements to support the film’s tone.
As soon as the footage came in, I built a dynamic edit, integrated motion graphics and visual compositions, then handled the color grading, sound adjustments, and final export.
I also created the opening sequence, end credits, and the film’s official poster.
Working with such a wonderful team made the entire process even more rewarding, and I’m grateful for the trust they placed in me throughout the project.

The biggest challenge was, unsurprisingly, the 48-hour deadline — an extremely tight window to assemble a complete film while upholding strong visual and narrative quality. Coordinating all steps of post-production (editing, motion design, graphics, audio) required precise time management and quick decision-making.

To stay on schedule, I streamlined the post-production workflow: organizing the edit early, importing footage as it arrived, and creating graphics and animations in parallel. A clear pipeline for color grading, sound, and final export ensured we delivered a polished film within the 48-hour limit.

The short film Clickbait was delivered on time and showcased a coherent, energetic, and visually polished final product. The film’s editing, visual identity, and promotional poster helped reinforce a strong aesthetic signature, even under accelerated production conditions.

Maintaining professional quality under extremely tight deadlines. Ability to manage multiple areas of post-production simultaneously. Importance of an efficient, organized workflow under pressure. Smooth collaboration in a fast-paced team environment. Creativity and adaptability within strict constraints.
